Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Country: Poland | Work Location: Remotely

Salary: 23,500 – 27,500 PLN on B2B or 17,500 – 21,000 PLN
on contract

We are looking for a Java Developer for our Swedish client who will participate in developing a product to automate business processes, ensuring they run smoothly and eliminating the need to spend time on recalculating various product configurations during business negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • As a Java Developer, you will be developing the core CPQ software for an international software company, building scalable solutions that will become part of the company’s standard product offering;
  • You will be implementing feature requirements to enhance the functionality, usability, and performance of the company’s core software, ensuring it meets evolving business needs;
  • You will be collaborating within a diverse international team, including architects, tech writers, testers, and developers with varied backgrounds and seniority levels, maintaining close contact with Product Management for alignment on project goals;
  • You will be working within an agile methodology, participating in sprints and adapting to iterative development processes for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, demonstrating a strong background in building and maintaining software systems;
  • Openness to working with frontend technologies, showing flexibility to adapt and contribute across the stack as needed;
  • Strong experience with Java language, enabling you to develop robust and efficient backend solutions;
  • Experience with Java development, showcasing your ability to develop robust, efficient, and scalable applications;
  • Ability to interpret and transform functional specifications into intuitive, non-complex, and creative software solutions, ensuring user satisfaction;
  • Experience with designing software solutions, showcasing your ability to architect and implement high-quality features;
  • Ability to describe and document solutions, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for team members and stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision;
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration within an international team.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with front-end technologies, demonstrating your capability to contribute to the user interface and bridge the gap between backend functionality and user-facing features;
  • Familiarity with testing practices and tools, showcasing your ability to write and execute automated tests that enhance the reliability and quality of the software.
