We are looking for a Software Business Analyst for our multinational client, who specializes in developing marketplaces and systems aimed at lowering the costs of IT products. They emphasize transparency, price comparison, and real-time delivery options.
Responsibilities
- As Software Business Analyst you will be collaborating with stakeholders to gather, define, and document both business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and other elicitation techniques, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals;
- You will be analyzing existing business processes and workflows, identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas for optimization, and proposing tailored improvements and software-based solutions to enhance productivity and performance;
- You will be producing clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user stories that are accessible and understandable to both business and technical audiences;
- You will be serving as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into technical language and ensuring alignment of deliverables with expectations;
- You will be participating in software testing and validation phases, ensuring that developed solutions meet specified business requirements and perform as expected;
- You will befacilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating test sessions, gathering structured feedback from end-users, and relaying insights to the development team for further refinement;
- You will be supporting project planning activities, helping define timelines, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders to keep projects on track;
- You will be staying current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies, regularly introducing fresh, innovative ideas to improve analysis practices and project outcomes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within software development or technology-driven environments;
- Willingness and availability to travel frequently to Tallinn, Estonia – this role includes part-time onsite presence at the Tallinn office as part of ongoing collaboration with local stakeholders;
- Experience working with tools such as Azure Boards, SharePoint, SQL and Visio or similar alternatives, allowing for efficient documentation and process mapping;
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including various development models and environments;
- You have a structured and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong emphasis on clarity, consistency, and precision in documentation and communication;
- You are adaptable and comfortable managing multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and working in fast-paced, agile environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprints, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews;
- Familiarity with programming languages, enabling smoother communication with developers and better understanding of technical constraints and capabilities.
